HDPE Valve for 1,000-Liter IBC Tank, 2-Inch S60x6 Connection - Interplast
Replacement valve for 1,000-liter IBC tank
2-inch S60x6 connection: the standard for 1,000-liter IBC tanks.
This valve is installed as the bottom outlet on 1,000-liter IBC tanks and all tanks equipped with a 2-inch male outlet with an S60x6 thread.
It screws directly onto the tank thanks to its integrated 2-inch S60x6 female nut: no adapter is needed.
Its handle opens and closes the water flow with a single motion, allowing you to fill a watering can, connect a hose, or drain the tank.
The body is made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), a material that is resistant to water, sunlight, and the elements.
The 2-inch S60x6 threaded outlet comes with a cap.
Ideal for replacing a leaky, broken, or seized valve and giving your rainwater collection tank a new lease on life.
Description
A valve compatible with all standard IBC tanks
Almost all 1,000-liter IBC tanks (also known as GRV containers) are equipped with a 2-inch male outlet with an S60x6 thread.
This is exactly the connection for this valve: it replaces the original valve without any modifications.
It is also suitable for any other tank or container with a 2-inch male S60x6 outlet.
Before ordering, check the thread size of your tank: S60x6 refers to a thread with a diameter of approximately 60 mm and a pitch of 6 mm.
Some older tanks or tanks from other brands use a different thread (S100x8, for example), which is not compatible.

Installation and Use
Replace the valve on your tank
First, lower the water level below the outlet, or empty the tank.
Unscrew the old valve by turning its nut.
Make sure the gasket is properly seated, then screw the new valve in by hand until it is tight.
Do not use a wrench to force it: overtightening can damage the threads or the gasket.
Connecting a Garden Hose
To connect a hose, remove the cap and screw an S60x6-to-garden-hose-connector adapter (sold separately) onto the outlet.
This allows you to water directly from your rainwater collection tank.
ℹ️ Good to know: A new valve is often stiff to operate at first.
After opening and closing it a few times, it will loosen up: this is the break-in period, which is completely normal.
⭐ Tip from the team: Before the first frosts, drain the valve and leave it in the open position, or lower the water level in the tank below the outlet.
Water that freezes inside can cause the valve body to burst.
Also, remember to put the cap back on the outlet to prevent dirt or insects from getting inside.
