Unstabilized shock chlorine granules for pool disinfection

Fast-dissolving calcium hypochlorite: quickly raises chlorine levels and clears green or cloudy water

CTX-120 Hypocal by CTX Pro is a granular pool disinfectant composed of 100% calcium hypochlorite.
The granules dissolve quickly and are suitable for both shock treatment and daily maintenance.
This unstabilized chlorine does not add cyanuric acid to the water: it does not raise the pool’s stabilizer level, unlike stabilized chlorine (dichlorine, trichlorine).
It is suitable for all types of pools and comes in 5 kg buckets.

Tip from the team: Adjust the pH before adding the chlorine, then pour the granules into the skimmer basket while the filtration system is running, preferably in the evening and when no one is swimming.
Never allow the granules to come into direct contact with a liner, vinyl or polyester coating, or a painted surface: they may cause discoloration.

Description

How does the CTX-120 Hypocal work?

The CTX-120 Hypocal releases chlorine into the pool water to disinfect it and keep it clear.
It begins working immediately after dissolving.
The free residual chlorine level should remain between 0.5 and 2 mg/l: check it at least 1 to 2 times a week, for example using test strips.
Since it contains no stabilizer, it does not increase the cyanuric acid content of the water.

You can also spread the granules evenly over the surface of the pool.
It is best to treat the pool at dusk, when no one is swimming.

Dosage

Initial treatment (superchlorination): 150 g per 10 m³ of water. Wait 2 hours, then adjust the pH to between 7.2 and 7.6 using a pH-lowering or pH-raising agent. Repeat whenever the water appears cloudy.
Maintenance treatment: With pH adjusted, use 10 to 20 g per 10 m³ of water daily.
These are approximate dosages; adjust according to your pool and weather conditions.

Precautions for Use

Never allow the product to come into direct contact with a liner, vinyl or polyester coating, or a painted surface: risk of discoloration.
