TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use: Industry, water treatment, water supply, swimming pool, irrigation, gas supply. Unidelta PE 100 electrofusion fittings are perfectly suited for outdoor and industrial use. Thanks to the material characteristics, they are resistant to many chemicals (see chemical resistance data sheet) and to UV rays. The fittings are compatible with all high density polyethylene pipes PE 80 & PE 100 manufactured according to EN 1555, EN 12201, EN ISO 15494, ISO 4437, ISO 4427, DIN 8074 according to SDR accounting (see technical data sheet) as well as PE 100 butt fittings.
Materials: Unidelta electrofusion fittings are made of high density polyethylene (PE 100) with a threaded brass insert.
Pressure rating: The pressure rating for water transport is 16 bar at 20°C - see pressure relief curve (technical data sheet). For gas transport the nominal pressure is 10 bar.
Operating temperature: The operating temperature of the electrofusion fittings is from -10°C to 45°C depending on the limitations of the polyethylene pipes - c.f. decalibration curve (technical data sheet). The processing temperature (welding) is -5°C to +40°C.
Certifications and reference standards: Compliant with EN 1555, EN 12201, UNI EN ISO 15494. Unidelta fittings have been certified for drinking water supply DVGW (Germany) and IIP (Italy), they are also certified for gas supply IIP (Italy) and DVGW (Germany). The Unidelta plant is certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.
Connection: Unidelta electrofusion fittings can be used with versatile automatic or manual barcode welding stations. The soldering voltage is 40V with Ø 4mm terminals. Each connection is provided with a standard barcode, the information needed for welding is indicated on the barcode. Soldering time and cooling time are marked on the fittings. The melting indicators indicate the correct functioning of the soldering.
